Depending upon the desires and choices of the couple, there are many variations of ancient wedding ceremonies and celebrations to enjoy. Often, the wedding party (including the celebrant) dress in appropriate period costume, the ceremony is conducted in accordance with ancient ritual (modified as desired) and the whole celebration takes on the ambience of a time gone-bye.
I have available copies of Celtic, Norse, English, Pagan (non-religious) and other ancient wedding ceremonies. These may be modified as desired to achieve the very unique and special effects for a truly memorable wedding ceremony.
A wedding of this type is usually more complex, requiring advance arrangements, planning and co-ordination - but not necessarily expense. If you are a creative couple, the days of preparation can be days of joy, fun and sharing. Usually the families enter into the spirit of the event, preparing various elements of the celebration such as table settings, favors, decorations, food, music and perhaps even medieval style 'games' for the celebrations following the wedding ceremony.
